From 1 October, an increase of approximately 15% is set for disability home-care employees classified under Schedule E of the SCHADS Award. Though the final Award variation has not yet been published, the increase is due to apply from the first full pay period starting on or after 1 October 2026.
Employees covered by Schedule E should be identified, and NFPs with staff in this category will need to consider any potential FY27 financial impacts arising from the increase.
