The team recently held our annual strategy event, where we spent a lot of time exploring AI adoption and applications in NFP financial management. Huge thanks to Andy Hannagan from AI Avenue, who helped us to develop frameworks for safe and ethical use of AI, and provided training to all team members to understand AI systems and the art of prompting.
At Purpose we see AI as a genuine frontier—one where we will lead. Success utilising AI won’t come from the technology alone; it will require well-contextualised, local, creative thinking, to apply these tools meaningfully within non-profit finance environments.
Though this a fast-moving space, we’re investing in our AI strategy to ensure it’s a clear point of value that we bring to our client service. Our approach is simple: encourage safe, thoughtful, effective use of AI across our client base, helping NFPs capture productivity gains where it makes sense, and ensure humans remain in the driving seat.
