Thanks to our client Bourke and District Children’s Services (BDCS) for hosting Purpose team members Anna and Jane this month.
We’re so pleased that Bourke will soon see major new investment in early childhood services, with the Maranguka organisation being selected to deliver a new Aboriginal Child and Family Centre, funded through the NSW Government’s $100 million Expansion and Enhancement Program.
This Centre will be integrated into BDCS’ existing Yanmali site, further supporting culturally appropriate early childhood education, health services and family supports offered by BDCS.
This expansion follows current works also underway at its Outside School Hours Care site, where Jane and Anna had a firsthand look at the exciting plans for these expanded services (pictured - from left: Prue Ritchie - General Manager; Anna & Jane from Purpose; Amanda Bell - Director of Mobile Children's Services & Alignment; and Mia Scolari - Infrastructure Manager).
